Cover supervisor opportunity in Manchester, full time position for September with introduction and possible start before the end of this academic year.

This position as a cover supervisor will begin initially on a temporary basis with the possibility of becoming a more permanent school based appointment. As a cover supervisor, you will be expected to lead lessons in the absence of teaching staff and deliver planned work to a high standard. You’ll be given full support by the cover manager in school and invited to attend the schools weekly training for your own development.

Situated in Wythenshawe, this is a mixed secondary school with modern facilities and a great atmosphere. Pupils can display challenging behaviour, as a cover supervisor you will be working in subjects across the school possibly at short notice, leading lessons independently requires confidence and the ability to adapt in pressured situations, whilst always following procedure and maintaining the high levels of professionalism across the school. This role as cover supervisor would be ideal for any aspiring secondary teachers looking at teacher training in September 2018 or beyond.
