KS3 Cover Supervisor needed at a Secondary School in Manchester City Centre

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS3 Cover Supervisor to join our client secondary school in Manchester City Centre. This is a temporary position starting in November, with the possibility of extension depending on how the successful candidate gets on in school.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage students in the absence of their regular teachers
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain engaged and on task
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage behaviour and implement the school's behaviour policy effectively
  • Support students with their learning and provide assistance when needed
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups
  • A passion for education and supporting students' academic progress

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • A relevant degree or teaching qualification is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
