  • Earn up £50 - £60 per day

A Hexham based high school is currently recruiting a Sports graduate to work under the guidance of teaching staff to support and supervisor lessons. The successful candidate will predominantly support the delivery of PE lessons and after school curricular activities. However from time to time may be asked to supervisor lessons throughout the curriculum, as well as supporting students in classroom based lessons.

The well regarded high school is situated in the historic market town of Hexham in Northumberland. The school is accessible by public transport and is in easy reach of the A69. The school caters for 13 -18 year olds. The role would be ideal for sports graduates with ambitions to become PE teachers and is the perfect opportunity to gain first hand experience in education before applying for a PGCE or SCITT course.

Applicants must have:

• A sports based degree

• Be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable

• Be eligible to work in the UK

• Have a formal qualification equivalent to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English

• Be an excellent role-model for young people

• Have excellent communication skills with both children and adults

• Be confident to take charge of a class

A full UK drivers licence and experience of working with children is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
