Are you a recent Graduate, or experienced Teaching Assistant wishing to pursue a career in Secondary teaching in the future?
Are you seeking a flexible position to suit your availability whilst gaining invaluable school based experience?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large RC Secondary school in the Bury LEA. Due to high levels of cover required this academic year, the school wish to increase their cover team with the incorporation of full time, part time and flexible Cover Supervisors with immediate effect.
What is a Cover Supervisor?
- A Cover Supervisor provides cover for lessons in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre-set work across a range of subject areas.
- During periods of minimal cover, a Cover Supervisor will support within class and provide small group intervention.
- Experience working within a school environment is desired but is not essential.
- This position will provide experience to enhance future PGCE applications and improve classroom presence and behaviour management strategies.
- Full support and additional CPD training will be provided throughout the position
The school wish to appoint a team of Cover Supervisors on a temporary basis, for the full academic year.
Successful Cover Supervisors can expect to earn up to £1200 per month, depending upon frequency of work and previous experience.
The school currently has over 1,100 pupils on roll and serves a diverse community. With additional scope for teacher training next academic year, the appointed Cover Supervisors will have the opportunity to secure a teacher training position through the school.
Located within the Bury LEA, our partner RC Secondary school can be reached via the M66 motorway. For non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from Bolton, Rochdale and central Manchester.
Graduates, experienced Teaching Assistants and aspiring teachers are welcome to apply for this position. For immediate consideration, please submit a full CV to Nicola Pollitt. For further information, please contact the Manchester West Secondary Office via the contact details below;
