Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted "Outstanding" school in Bournemouth who are seeking a Cover Supervisor. The school teaches young people from 11 to 19 and puts great emphasis on a healthy balance between academic work and the all-round development of children making it an excellent environment for students, parents and staff.

Cover Supervisors work alongside qualified teachers covering classes for absent staff when necessary. The role is excellent if you are a graduate looking to become a teacher in the future. Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will need to adapt to different classes and groups of children and will therefore need to demonstrate flexibility and excellent classroom management.

This role will be to cover anything from sickness to maternity leave and we have plenty of roles which vary between full/part time both long and short term. Working as a cover supervisor is a great way to try working within various schools, so great for graduates and NQTs looking to gain experience or for teachers who are looking to try some new schools.

About the role:

  • Hours of work are from 0815 - 1515 during term time
  • Based in Bournemouth
  • Part time and full time placements starting in January
  • Working as part of an "Outstanding" Academy

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Have a relevant degree
  • Have excellent class management skills
  • Have previous experience working with children and young people.

All candidates who apply must hold a DBS which is registered on the Update Service or be willing to complete one during the registration process.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
