Cover Supervisor - Wigan

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an energetic, confident and enthusiastic individual to join our current team of Cover Supervisors who are able to work flexibly within a number of our key client secondary schools in Wigan.

This is an immediate and regular work that we are able to tailor around your availability;

  • Cover Supervisor - Immediate and flexible work
  • Competitive pay with earnings of up to £350 per week
  • Working within a number of supportive secondary schools based in the Wigan LEA.
  • Must hold or be willing to apply for a DBS registered to the update service

If you are available immediately and are interested in working within a secondary school where you are able to provide lesson cover and build your classroom based experience then we wish to hear from you immediately. Teaching Personnel offer regular training sessions and CPD opportunities such as 'How to be a Cover Supervisor' and 'Excellent Behaviour Management' making this opportunity the perfect opportunity for graduates with little experience.

The primary focus of a Cover Supervisor is to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task during the lesson.

The successful candidate will supervise whole classes when teachers are absent. You will be required to assist students with work provided by the teacher and ensure they remain on task. The cover supervisor is not expected to teach the class and is not required to plan, mark set targets or homework.
