Cover Supervisor - Wigan

In the new academic year, a number of our client secondary schools will require the support from Graduates and experienced Cover Supervisors to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

With this in mind, Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an energetic, confident and enthusiastic individual to join our current team of Cover Supervisors who are able to work flexibly within a number of our key client secondary schools in Wigan.

  • Cover Supervisor - Full, Part-time and flexible working opportunities
  • Competitive pay with earnings of up to £350 per week
  • Working within a number of supportive secondary schools based in the Wigan LEA.
  • Must hold or be willing to apply for a DBS registered to the update service
  • Work starting in the new academic year (September 2019)

The primary focus of a Cover Supervisor is to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task during the lesson.

The successful candidate will supervise whole classes when teachers are absent. You will be required to assist students with work provided by the teacher and ensure they remain on task. The cover supervisor is not expected to teach the class and is not required to plan, mark, set targets or homework.

If you are a confident individual, who is passionate about education and supporting students in a secondary school setting then we wish to hear from you immediately. Teaching Personnel offer regular training sessions and CPD opportunities such as 'How to be a Cover Supervisor' and 'Excellent Behaviour Management' making this opportunity the perfect opportunity for graduates with little experience.
