This position is ideal for those applicants who are considering a future career in teaching. It will allow you to gain the necessary skills and experience for those considering applying to teacher training courses. This position is also perfect for candidates who are looking for flexible work, alongside another role or current course due to flexible working hours.

  • Cover Supervisor role – school open to part-time and full-time.
  • ASAP start
  • Competitive pay rate depending on previous experience.
  • Secondary school in Bury.

The incoming cover supervisor will be expected to cover pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers across different subject areas. The successful candidate will also be expected to manage behaviour and ensure all tasks are completed by all pupils.

Applicants will ideally have previous experience working within education however, any transferrable skills to work with children and young people will be considered. You do not need a teaching qualification.

Our partner school is located near Bury and can be easily accessed via the M66 and A56 from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Prestwich and Middleton. For applicants who do not drive, the school also has excellent links to public transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
