Cover Supervisor

Job description

Full time cover supervisor required for a Salford Secondary school starting immediately till the end of the academic year.

Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with an inner city Salford Secondary school to recruit a resilient cover supervisor to work within their internal cover team delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Full time Cover Supervisor required immediately for a Salford Secondary school.
  • Opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic school.
  • Must have prior experience working with young people within an education setting.
  • Earn £54 - £80 per day.

The Cover Supervisor role includes covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher across all subjects. This well respected Secondary school have a policy in place to which does not allow internal staff to cover so the school utilise an in house cover team who are worked across the school.

The incoming Cover Supervisors will be required to;

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of class teachers across the school, in various subject specialisms.
  • Keep pupils engaged through positive behaviour management in line with school behaviour policies.
  • Carry out any additional duties and responsibilities requested by Senior Leadership in line with the grade expectations of this post.
  • Confidently able to cover all curriculum lessons, including practical areas such as Physical Education where applicable.

This growing Secondary school has just over 800 pupils on roll aged 11-16, and is continuing to see an influx of pupils attending each academic year. It is also easily accessible via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road) as well as the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan.
