Job description

Full time and part time flexible Cover supervisors required for our Salford based Secondary schools, starting immediately on a temporary supply basis.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with numerous Secondary schools across the Salford Learning Education Authority (LEA) to provide dynamic Cover Supervisors to deliver dynamic lessons in the absence of class teachers.

The responsibilities for the successful Cover Supervisors will include:

  • Providing classroom supervision for pupils in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Carry out any additional duties and responsibilities requested by Senior Leadership in line with the grade expectations of this post.
  • Confidently able to cover all curriculum lessons, including practical areas such as Physical Education where applicable.
  • Opportunity to work in a range of Salford Secondary Schools with access to continual CPD training programmes.
  • Earn up to £70 per day.

The successful Cover Supervisors must be well organised, hardworking and enthusiastic in the delivery of lessons to pupils across the school board. Due to the changing nature of the role, we are seeking to appoint confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to coordinate and supervise whole class lessons during the short term absence of teaching staff.

Salford is easily accessible via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. The school can also be accessed through various public transport options with links across Greater Manchester.
