Cover Supervisor

Job description

Ad-hoc cover Supervisor required for a Bury Secondary school, starting immediately on a temporary flexible basis.

Our client school is seeking to appoint a general Cover Supervisor during this busy period to work within their staff team on an ad-hoc basis throughout the academic year. Due to the nature of the Cover Supervisor position prior experience delivering lessons will be highly beneficial.

  • Full time Cover Supervisor, immediate start.
  • Must hold previous experience working within a classroom setting to be considered.
  • Access to CPD training programmes throughout the academic year.
  • Earn up to £1200 per month.

This Bury Secondary school has continued to be on a steady incline towards the improvement of teaching and learning across the school. With strong changes within Senior Leadership as well as Middle Leaders the school is now seeing drastic positive improvements.

The successful cover supervisor will be required to;

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across the subject board with full guidance and support together with the opportunity to create your own lessons, where applicable.
  • Manage behaviour amongst pupils referring back to school behaviour policies.
  • Flexibly cover a range of subjects across Key Stages 3-4, at various levels of learning.

Based in the Radcliffe region of Bury the school has just over 700 pupils on roll aged 11-16. There are easy access options via the M60/M66 as well as the surrounding areas; Bolton, Rochdale, and Preston.
