Cover Supervisor - Westhoughton

Full-time Cover Supervisor position - required to start post October half-term.

You will be working within a well respected client Secondary in the Westhoughton area of Bolton.

  • Cover Supervisor - Post October half-term
  • Full-time position covering lessons across a range of subjects with pre-set work
  • Delivering pre-set lessons that are set from the class teacher
  • You can expect to earn up to £1200 a month
  • Experience delivering lessons or working with students aged 11-16 is preferred but not essential

The school wishes to appoint a full time member of staff who is able to deliver pre-planned lessons across the school in the absence of the class teacher. In order to be successful for this role, you will be required to display good behaviour management skills within the classroom ensuring that pupils under your control complete the work that is set by the class teacher. It is important that you are able to build good working relationships with your pupils and deliver lessons to students aged 11-16 in an engaging manner.

Due to the nature of the requirements of our client Secondary school you will be employed on a full-time basis, there may be times where you are required to sit in lessons and support the class teacher as a general Teaching Assistant if there are no cover requirements within the school.

The Secondary school is located on the outskirts of Westhoughton and neighbours the communities of Atherton, Leigh, Farnworth and Hindley. The school is currently average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll and the vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average. The school is just a short drive away from the M61 and has direct public transport links to the surrounding areas.
