Are you a recent graduate looking for paid classroom experience in a Secondary school?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client school in Manchester, who would like a Cover Supervisor to join their team from January 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain classroom experience before starting a career in education in the future.

  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted 'Good' secondary school in Oldham
  • Paid experience in a classroom prior to starting a teacher training course
  • Applications accepted from recent graduates
  • Full time working hours, although there is potential for flexibility on days and hours
  • Cover supervisor pay (£54-£70 a day - depending on experience)

Our client school is seeking to employ a cover supervisor on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to gain a permanent position. Our client school has improved significantly over the last two years, through hard work and determination. Located just a short drive from the M60 motorway, it is easily accessible from a range of locations across Great Manchester.

Whilst working as a cover supervisor, you should:

  • Be able to support learners in the absence of the classroom teacher
  • Ensure set work is completed by all pupils
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be able to build and maintain strong, effective relationships with young people

The ideal candidate should be a confident, motivated and professional individual and have experience working with learners. There will be many transferrable skills from a range of different occupations such as a sports coach and youth work.
