About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisor to join our team at teaching personnel. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task with the work set by the teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with classroom experience who are looking to develop their skills in a school environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Supervise lessons across all subjects following pre-prepared lesson plans.

Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.

Support students in understanding the work set and ensure learning objectives are met.

Report back to the regular classroom teacher on student progress and behaviour.

Assist with administrative tasks or other duties as required around the school.

 

Requirements

Minimum of GCSEs (including English and Maths); A-Levels or a degree is desirable.

Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g., in education, youth work, or coaching).

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

A genuine passion for helping students succeed.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
