Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: £90 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated secondary school team in Burnley from January 2026. If you enjoy working with young people and want a role where you can truly make an impact, this is the perfect opportunity for you!


About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll:
✔ Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of teaching staff
✔ Keep students engaged and on task
✔ Support learning and maintain a positive classroom environment
✔ Manage behaviour in line with school policy
✔ Provide feedback to teachers on lessons and student progress


About You:

We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Has strong communication and organisational skills
✔ Enjoys working with young people and building positive relationships
✔ Is adaptable, resilient, and confident in managing classroom behaviour
✔ Ideally has experience in schools or youth work (training provided)
✔ Holds GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
