Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a cover supervisor on behalf of our client school in Ashington. Roles can be both long term and day-to-day and will involve the covering of pre-prepared lessons to multiple year groups. It is anticipated that vacancies will become available immediately. The role is ideal for someone looking to get into a school environment part-time initially but with an outlook to potentially working full-time in the future.
The position:
- Full time and Part time Graduates required
- Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis in lessons
- Covering lessons with pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
- Managing pupil behaviour by following the school policies
- Working directly alongside the other teachers to develop activities
- Gain invaluable experience prior to starting PGCE
- Opportunity to earn £55 - 70 per day
The school also wish to appoint Graduate Teaching Assistants with immediate effect in order to implement support in multiple departments prior to the examination period. All Graduate Teaching Assistant positions will initially be offered on a temporary basis for one term, with the opportunity to gain a fixed term contract following this.
With over 1,000 pupils on roll, the school is significantly larger than average and due to this they are always looking for extra support on both a full and part time basis. Students are well behaved and the school prides it self on its inclusive and caring atmosphere. This combined with the SLT's continued commitment to the performing arts, sports and a wealth of extra-curriculars ensures all learners are fully supported and challenged to achieve their potential. Our partner Secondary school can be accessed via public transport.
All Graduates that are interested in this position are urged to submit a full CV to Stuart Hawkins. For further information, please contact the Tyne & Wear Secondary Office on 0191 2235071.
