Core Subject Graduate TA - Future Teachers Programme

In conjunction with our 'Future Teacher's Programme' the successful Core Subject Graduate TA's will work alongside the English, Maths and Science faculties, supporting both pupils and staff to influence pupils learning and development.

These Core Subject Graduate TA roles will commence from September 2018 on a 12 month basis, with the opportunity to then begin your teacher training within this outstanding catholic secondary school from September 2019 through there ITT (initial teacher training) programme.

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a nationally recognised teaching school in Greater Manchester who facilitate teacher training (PGCE/SCITT programme) for over 10 secondary schools in the North West. In line with Teaching Personnel's 'future teachers' programme, our client school are looking for a number of graduates to work as graduate teaching assistants with the view to joining the schools teacher training programme the following year. At present we have 5+ positions for graduates teaching assistants on a 12 month basis prior to commencing onto the schools teacher training programme in September 2019.

The Core Subject Graduate TA role will include;

• Supporting within English, Maths or Science faculty, working 1:1 to support the staff team, class teacher and faculty lead.

• Work 1:1 with pupils, in smaller dedicated groups and deliver pre-planned subject specific lessons where required with full guidance and support, within English, Maths or Science.

• Positively manage behaviour through school behaviour policies, promoting a growth mind-set, and engaging pupils through dynamic support with teaching and learning.

Located at the heart of Salford, this Secondary school has just over 800 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. Situated via the A580 (East Lancashire road) and the M602 the school can also be accessed via the surrounding areas; Bury, Leigh and North Salford. There are also excellent public transport links readily available.
