Construction role in East Lancashire

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a secondary Behavioural Unit in the Rawtenstall (East Lancashire) area.

The School are looking to appoint a Lecturer/Tutor/ Teacher of Construction to start as soon as possible on a temporary - permanent basis.

The School aren't necessarily looking for a fully qualified Teacher, if you come from a building and construction background and / or you have an interest in teaching pupils who are harder to reach/display difficult behaviours you can be considered for this role. Those who have worked in prisons, offering qualifications in construction would also be considered.

The School caters for pupils aged between 11 - 17 years of age with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and challenging behaviours.

The School are looking to appoint someone on a full time basis and rates of pay will be negotiable dependent on your current experience/qualifications. The role will likely become a permanent position within the next 4 - 6 months and the candidate must be looking for a long term position to be considered for the role.

The School hours are 8.30am - 3.15pm, Monday - Friday and the role will start as soon as possible, but, the School would also wait for a notice period for the right candidate!

The candidate must have a background in construction, building or plumbing and ideally, have experience working with pupils who display challenging behaviours.

The candidate must have a genuine interest in working with children and be looking for a long term role in the education industry.

The School are happy to help you through some basic teaching qualifications so you do not need to be a qualified Teacher to be considered for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
