Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client school in Basingstoke to secure a qualified teacher of Computer Science and IT to join them at the start of the new academic year in September.

You will be joining a highly successful and well established computing department under the leadership of an experienced head of department. With 84% of students achieving 9-4 in 2019 examinations, much higher than the national average. The department have dedicated staff and resource rooms with full facilities and space. You will be paid in accordance to your payscale point, from GBP24373 to GBP46877.

The school are looking to fill this position prior to the schools reopening; teachers who are immediately available can. If successful you will undertake the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher, with full responsibility for planning and marking as well as attending and organising parents evenings and department/school wide meetings. 

This is a permanent position for the correct member of staff, as such you will need to be diligent and precise in all work, and fully enthusiastic with all classroom work. The school are looking to secure a member of staff who fits with their ethos and is a good team fit, for this you will need to exercise passion in all of your work, and show that you are dedicated to improving all aspects of the Computer science department, assisting all students to reach their full potential.

NQTs are encouraged to apply for this role and will be fully supported in a comprehensive and structured format, tailored to the individuals needs by trained mentors. The will also be able to ask for additional advise from faculty teachers in order to continuously improve on their classroom and preparation skills. Resources and lesson plans are regularly shared in the faculty.

The school have recently improved to a Good Ofsted grade across the entire board, with the inspectors highlighting in particular their attention to the individual needs of each student, and the impressive improvements that new senior leaders have made across the school. Staff who currently work at the school regularly praise the leaders and staff throughout the school, pointing out the positive mentality and team moral that is present in every department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
