Are you a qualified computer science teacher?

Can you teach to KS4/GCSE level? 

Are you based in and around Nottinghamshire and looking for a long term role in Newark?

 

A secondary school in the Newark area are looking to recruit a Computer Science teacher to join them for a maternity leave cover position in September 2020 starting on 3rd September. The successful Computer Science teacher should be experienced teaching KS3 and KS4 up to GCSE level which can be from your placements or from a previous teaching position. Applications are therefore encouraged from teachers of all experience including NQTs or more experienced classroom practitioners.

The school itself is a medium to large sized mixed comprehensive secondary school and has this Computer Science requirement as a result of a maternity leave with one of the current staff members. 

Highlights of the Computer Science teaching role:

  • Full time Computer Science teacher required: 3rd September – end of half term in the first instance (December), to extend for the right candidate
  • Pay in line with UK teacher’s pay scale
  • Work within a highly reputable secondary school where teachers and students are part of the community
  • Supportive SLT with a focussed Computing department

The successful Computer Science teacher will be involved with all aspects of the curriculum, including the features of safe, secure and responsible practice as well as Python programming and website coding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
