Due to staff maternity leave coming sooner due to the current pandemic, the school now has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher of Computer Science to join the schools ICT department from September 2020. The successful Computer Science teacher will be required until the end of the academic year with the potential of a perm contract.

At our client school, Computer Science is engaging and practical, encouraging creativity and problem solving. It encourages students to develop their understanding and application of the core concepts in computer science. Students also analyse problems in computational terms and devise creative solutions by designing, writing, testing and evaluating programs. The school works on the OCR GCSE and A Level Computer Science curriculum therefore someone with experience in teaching this curriculum would be desirable.

Our client school is a 14-19 mainstream School, a specialist maths and computing academy. They offer to all students specialist learning alongside traditional GCSEs and A Levels, complemented by practical experience, employability skills and a wealth of industry links. Subjects that students are able to study include TV & Film Production, Interactive Media & Gaming, Photography, Graphic Design, Digital Applications and Computer Science.
