ICT and Computer Science Teacher - Rotherham

Our client school located in Rotherham seek to appoint an ICT and Computer Science teacher to join their team in the summer term from May 2017.

- Full time Computer Science teacher required to cover maternity leave

- Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school located within the Rotherham LEA

- Teaching both KS3 and GCSE Computer Science

- Initially required through till December 2017 – Continuation likely into the new year

Due to an upcoming maternity leave within their IT department, this Academy school located in Rotherham have an upcoming need for an ICT and Computer Science teacher. The ideal ICT and Computing teacher will be confident delivering and assessing all aspects of the KS3 and GCSE curriculum and be able to provide creative and engaging practice to pupils of all ability levels.

The school is located in the heart of Rotherham and has roughly 750 pupils on roll. The school serves a good catchment area and pupils respect their teachers and peers. During the schools most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged as a ‘Good’ school with management and leadership being identified as a particular strength within the school. Located just a few miles from Rotherham town centre, the school is easily accessible via the M1 or M18 making the surrounding areas; Doncaster, Barnsley and Sheffield easily commutable.

The successful ICT and Computer Science teacher will be required to take on full teaching responsibilities including; planning and delivering lesson that reflect ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ practice, assessment of pupils, marking and monitoring attainment.
