Vacancy: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Glossop, Secondary School

Type: Full-Time, Temporary

Are you a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN)? We are currently seeking experienced and passionate individuals to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Glossop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to develop appropriate strategies and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviours.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Relevant qualifications in SEN or Education.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
