Pay: GBP60-GBP75 per day

Our Specialist SEN Branch here at Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a fantastic SEN school in Caerphilly. They look to us to support them with their recruitment process to ensure they have the best opportunity to get the right candidate for their school. The school itself caters for children and young people aged 3-19 who have a wide range of additional learning needs including; Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Complex Medical Needs & those who have a diagnosis of Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties. The school supports these children and young people access learning in a very unique way to ensure all achieve regardless of the nature of their needs. If you are looking to kick start your career in working within SEN schools - then this one could be the one for you. 

The Ideal Candidate:

• Have some knowledge, understanding and/or experience in supporting children and young people with learning difficulties or additional learning needs. 
• Be open to take on support on guidance from other team memebers. 
• Have a strong work ethic and sense of humour
• Have the ability to use your own initative rather than waiting for directions from others. 
• Having training in Manual Handling is advantageous but not essential as we can provide Manual Handling training in the future. 

Your Role

• To support the teacher and team of Specialist Support Officers in delivering an adapted curriculum. 
• To tend to personal care and assisting with feeding.
• To ensure the children and young people are happy during the school day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
