Location: Weston Super Mare

Salary: £57-65 per day

Teaching Personnel are looking for Learning Support Assistant to work in a specialist SEN school in Weston Super Mare area. This school requires Learning Support Assistants to work 1:1 with students who have social, emotional, mental health difficulties.

Due to the pupils challenging behaviour, these students require you to support them throughout the school day in order to stay focused and be supported throughout the lessons as well as working through specific activities outside of the classroom.

This role is full time, 5 days a week and would be for immediate start up until the end of the academic year.

You/The Candidate:

  • You would ideally need to have experience and be confident in working with challenging behaviour or within a similar type of role.
  • Be able to build good solid relationships - with both staff and students that you'll be working alongside
  • Previous experience of working with Special Educational Needs, whether that is with adults or children.
  • Be looking to start as soon as possible
  • Holds a Child Workforce DBS, on the update service or be happy to do one!
