Learning Support Assistant

Location: Barry (The Vale of Glamorgan)

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8.30am-3.30am)

Pay Rate: Minimum £11.85ph

Start: November 2023

Here at Teaching Personnel, we are searching for a strong minded and hard-working individual who is looking to make a difference. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a partner school in the heart of Barry. The position will be working as a teaching assistant across the foundation phase and KS2. Some pupils will require support with social, emotional, and mental health wellbeing. The school are looking for role models to help engage in communication and relationship building.

The successful applicant will need to have a strong classroom presence and be confident supporting challenging behaviour.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Ideally have previous experience dealing with behaviour or relatable experience in SEN/ social and emotional mental health (SEMH)/ Autism (ASD)
  • Have strong behaviour management skill
  • Have a positive outlook
  • Able to build strong relationships from the get-go
  • Be a positive role model
