Full time classroom assistant required for a Salford based Secondary school from September 2019.

  • Classroom Assistant required from September 2019.
  • Must have previous experience working with young people within an education capacity.
  • Opportunity to gain valuable experience working within a classroom setting.
  • Earn up to £70 per day dependant upon prior experience.

This mixed comprehensive Secondary school wish to utilise additional classroom assistants to support identified pupils, at Key Stages 3/4, on a 1:1 and small group basis. The incoming classroom assistant can expect to join a supportive staff team which pride themselves in the development of their pupils. The responsibilities for the successful classroom assistants will include;

  • To support with the teaching and learning across all subjects alongside the class teacher.
  • To work 1:1 and in small intervention based groups with identified pupils within Maths, English and Science.
  • To evaluate and assess the learning for pupils taking appropriate action in collaboration with Senior Leadership.
  • Promote a positive growth mind-set and manage behaviour in class in line with school behaviour policies.

Located at the heart of Salford, the school is easily accessible via major motorway links including the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road)and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Trafford. There are also various public transport options available with links across Greater Manchester.
