Full time classroom assistant required for a co-educational Secondary school based in Bury from November 2018 until the end of the academic year on a temporary basis.

  • Full time classroom assistant position, from November 2018.

  • Earn up to £1200 per month.

Our client Secondary school wish to utilise a dynamic classroom assistant to work across Key Stages 3 and 4 working with young people at all levels of learning providing additional support alongside the class teacher.

The incoming classroom assistant can expect to join a supportive staff team working with pupils who thoroughly enjoy being at school. The responsibilities for the successful Classroom Assistant will include;

  • Working with young people on a 1:1 and group basis as directed by the class teacher.
  • Support with the teaching and learning of the National Curriculum to pupils at all levels of learning.
  • General cover responsibilities may also apply at the absence of the class teacher, at the discretion of Senior Leadership.
  • Positively manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

Renowned for there outstanding practice, this over-subscribed Secondary school has just over 700 pupils on roll aged 11-16, and continues to see an influx of applications each academic year, the school is central within the community.

Located in the Radcliffe area of Bury the school can easily be accessed via the M66/A58 (Bury and Bolton road) as well as the surrounding areas; Bolton, Salford and Preston. There are also an abundance of public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
