Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a welcoming and vibrant primary school in Slough in their search for a talented Class Teacher to join them on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from September until December.

The school is seeking an enthusiastic teacher who can quickly establish positive relationships, maintain high standards in the classroom and provide continuity for pupils during the cover period.

This role would suit both experienced teachers and strong Early Career Teachers looking to gain valuable experience within a supportive school environment.

Salary

MPS / UPS (dependent on experience)

The Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a class of pupils, ensuring they continue to receive an engaging, challenging and nurturing educational experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within a primary setting
  • Is adaptable and able to make a positive impact quickly
  • Has excellent classroom management skills
  • Demonstrates strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Is passionate about supporting children's development
  • Works effectively as part of a wider team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
