Job description

A Behavioural Unit based in the Chorley area are seeking a hard working, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant who is looking for a long term role in a forward thinking School. The School is based on the outskirts of Chorley and they are hoping to find a Teaching Assistant for a long term role starting in January 2019. The School is smaller than average and currently caters for approximately 50 pupils aged between 11 - 17.

The candidate suitable for this role will have experience working with pupils who have additional needs and experience de-escalating challenging behaviours. The candidate will be available full time and the School will expect you to provide one voluntary day in School so the Head Teacher can ascertain your suitability for the role.

The role will start in January and candidates will be expected to work from 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday.

The role will require a hard working, empathetic, energetic and forward thinking Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management skills.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day

- Long term position available

- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
