Teaching Personnel has a role which would be perfect for you!
A school in the Blackburn area has approached Teaching Personnel to aid them with the recruitment of a Teacher of Science with a specialism in Chemistry. The school is in need due to one of their existing teachers leaving the school suddenly. The school is initially looking for someone to work through the first term in September, however, the Head would consider the candidate for the long term role for the 2017/2018 school year should they successfully integrate into the department.
In the schools most recent Ofsted inspection the school was found to be “Good”. Since this the school have been working hard continue with their high standards and continue to make improvements towards claiming an “Outstanding” judgement at their next inspection. There are support systems in place for any new staff joining the school. The school would need someone dedicated to planning engaging lessons with a focus on progress.
The role is to start in September and is to progress into a full years positions for a successful candidate. A successful candidate would have excellent knowledge of the KS3/KS4 Chemistry curriculum. They should be able to plan and deliver effective intervention to GCSE pupils which have been identified for needing additional support.
