Teacher of Chemistry required for Newcastle school

Teaching Personnel are currently working in collaboration with the Hexham and Newcastle Catholic Diocese. We are now the preferred supplier for the Diocese and working with them to provide schools with high quality staff for all areas such as Teachers, Support Staff and Specialist intervention teachers. Due to this partnership we are currently recruiting for a Chemistry specialist to work in an OFSTED graded outstanding school in the Newcastle area. The school is located in central Newcastle and has great transport links via the Tyne & Wear Metro System. The school has excellent Science Laboratories, with outstanding equipment. The department has also been graded "Outstanding" by Ofsted.

The successful applicant ‘Teacher of Science’ will be required to deliver lessons across the entire school from Year 7 to Year 13, with a proven track record of raising attainment and exceeding expected levels of progress. Although a Chemistry specialist will be preferred, we also accept applicants who may be specialised in other areas of science. The ideal candidate will have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (specialising in teaching Science)

- Experience of delivering Chemistry lessons to at least GCSE

- Knowledge of current assessment practise

- drive to raise attainment and motivate others

- creativity, flexibility and resilience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
