Challenging behaviour teaching assistant required for Enfield

Job description

A Primary School based in Enfield is looking to hire an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant to support a child with challenging behaviour. They are looking for someone who can set clear and firm boundaries to effectively support learning, whilst also being able to differentiate work to suit the child's individual needs. You will work closely with the SENCO and teachers, to update them on the child's progress.

The role will be to work 1:1 with a child in KS1, supporting with behaviour and social interaction, as well as the National Curriculum.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience supporting children/adults with challenging behaviour
  • Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and be willing to learn and develop new skills
  • Be keen to work as part of a team
  • Be committed to promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring equal opportunities to learn and develop.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who has a Criminology/Psychology degree, Youth Support or Social Work background, who is seeking to gain experience within a primary school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
