Teaching Personnel are looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant for a school based in Bournemouth. This SEMH Teaching Assistant job is due to start ASAP on a temporary basis likely to become permanent.

Type of work - Teaching Assistant
Contract or position start date - ASAP
Duration / Likely Duration - 2 terms until end of the academic year July 2019
Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2019
Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary with possibility of permanent role
Full time/part time - Full time & Part-time positions
Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £65-£75 per day
Hours - 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in a school isn't required, we would also welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in Youth Work, Sports Coaching, Military, Custodial Service and Residential Care.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for engaging the pupils in their education, this can be in class, out of class and sometimes off site also. Work will be set by the class teacher and you will support the pupil or pupils with their work. You will also be responsible for behaviour management. Some of our 1-1 Teaching Assistants are required to work off-site with the pupils.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH Teaching Personnel, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Full drivers licence / access to own car with business insurance
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
