Care Assistant needed in SEN School

• Based in Lambeth,
• Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4pm
• Immediate start and to continue in the New Year (2019)
• Pay - £75 a day*

A large Secondary school and College that caters for students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, including moderate to severe Autism seeking an exceptional practitioner to join the supportive staff team.

It is essential that you have experience working with children who have severe special needs, particularly if you have experience of using hoist equipment or moving and handling training. Those with a background in the care sector, supporting adults with disabilities, will also be considered.

You must have experience and be comfortable in providing personal care for students with complex needs is going to be an integral part of this job.

This role is to work in a key stage 4 class comprising of 6 students, supporting the class teacher when necessary and working collaboratively with 4 other teaching assistants who will be working with the pupils also. You will be expected to work with one pupil, supporting them throughout the day.

Necessary, relevant training includes Makaton, PECS, moving and handling, first aid or safeguarding. Once registered with Teaching Personnel you will be eligible to book yourself onto any of the training courses that we offer, which will either be free or at a reduced cost.
