Teaching Personnel work alongside a number of Schools across the Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend that are looking to give future Teachers the classroom experience they need to ensure they start their Teaching career with the skills and tools to succeed. Future Teachers will be used within the classroom to provide support to KS3&KS4 pupils with work that is already pre-set by the class Teacher.

Some of the highlights of being a cover supervisor are:

* Introduction to a number of secondary schools

*Gain classroom management and behaviour management skills

* No lesson planning or assessment will be required as work is pre-set by the department

* Invaluable experience prior to beginning your teacher training

*Monitoring by department leads to ensure progress is maintained

* Regular day to day and pre-booked cover to suit your working needs

The role of a cover supervisor will include, delivering pre-planned work schemes in cross-curricular, behaviour and classroom management ensuring the schools behaviour policy is adhered to and ensuring students are focused and stay engaged with work set. You do not have to be a specialist in the subjects covered but a good level of understanding is desirable.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
