Looking for a Year 6 BSL Teaching Assistant full time in Hammersmith & Fulham – September Start

  • Competitive daily rate of pay depending on experience
  • Must have DBS registered on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • Applicants must be BSL Level 2 trained and above

If you are currently looking for a BSL role this position is to work full time in a 3 form entry primary school based in Hammersmith & Fulham with excellent Special Education Needs facilities for children with hearing impairment. The school has excellent transport links to the rest of London and is located a short walk from the nearest tube station.


You will be supporting Primary aged children with hearing impairment on a one to one basis working to a strict routine to promote positive results in the children's academic development. You will be working alongside Pupil Support Assistants and Bi-lingual Teaching Assistants at the school, which provides a safe and comfortable environment for the children to feel confident in their communication development.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Primary age groups and supporting children with Special Education Needs. It is essential that they have a Level 2 in British Sign Language (BSL) and an excellent ability to build rapport with pupils.

This is a great opportunity to put the BSL Qualifications into a practical setting and gain experience working with children across the entire Primary age group.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
