*** BSL trained individuals required for a college in Oldham - LONG TERM AND SHORT TERM POSITIONS AVAILABLE ***

  • Do you hold a BSL qualification and are a competent user?
  • Would you like to work with children and young people who use BSL as a method of communication?
  • Access to CPD courses such as Team-Teach, Autism Awareness and Safeguarding

I am currently working with a college in Oldham who are looking for individuals who have BSL training to work with young people across a number of departments who have a hearing impairment. The college caters for young people aged 16-25 and adults who are undertaking a variety of courses. To apply for this position, you must confident using BSL as a method of communication. The college will consider any level of BSL training from Level 1. School or college based experience would be beneficial as would experience of using PECS and Makaton.

The young people you will work may have additional special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD and Downs Syndrome amongst other moderate to severe learning difficulties.
