Opportunity to join a science faculty, in one of the most established high schools, where high quality education is paramount. The school look to develop individual talents of each student to the full and prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life.

Running from April to July 2023, this position is only temporary however there is a possibility of a permanent contract starting in the new school year.

Through your teaching you will be asked to provide the foundations for understanding the world through the specific discipline of Biology. Students should be taught essential aspects of the knowledge, methods, processes and uses of science.

Aims of the Biology department you will be asked to contribute to include:

  • Developing scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding through specific disciplines of Biology.
  • Developing an understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science through different types of science enquiries that help them to answer scientific questions about the world around them.
  • Equipping students with the scientific knowledge required to understand the uses and implications of science, today and for the future.

The school has great transport links as Bredbury bus stop is only 3 mins away and the main Stockport bus station only 10 mins away. 4-minute drive away from the M60 providing perfect access to the whole of Manchester.

Pay for this position spans from £28,000 to £43,685 depending on where you fall in the pay scale. Ideal for any teacher looking to either gain experience or build their career in a very strong school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
