In particular, Teaching Personnel is currently working with a significant number of Catholic schools throughout the Liverpool area. A growing number of these schools are working exclusively with Teaching Personnel and we are seeing a high demand for teachers and classroom support staff to work in these schools. ABOUT LIVERPOOL: With a population of 436,100, Liverpool is the sixth largest city in the United Kingdom and was recently the European Capital of Culture. From excellent shopping, museums, art galleries and sport to renowned music and nightlife, Liverpool is bursting with the widest choice of things to do. Liverpool has excellent transport links, an airport with frequent flights to Ireland (that take just 50 minutes), fast trains to London and Scotland, and good coach connections all over UK. With affordable accommodation all over the city, Liverpool is a vibrant, cosmopolitan place to live and work.

At present, Teaching Personnel have a high demand for Teaching Assistants in primary and secondary schools. In particular, we require teaching assistant for 1:1 roles working with children with ASC and SEMH difficulties. Teaching Assistants with Team-Teach/ SCIPP/ MAPA are highly desirable.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

*To encourage pupil to join in with all activities and to take a full and active part in school life.

*To prepare, modify and adapt resources and learning materials for the pupil as agreed with the class teacher and other professionals.

*To assist in resolving any behavioural, social and emotional difficulties which may arise.

*To encourage the pupil to develop a positive self image, and to develop confidence in their abilities and communication with others.

All candidates applying to jobs through Teaching Personnel must undertake or have undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS - Full assistance provided (AGY).

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
