Job description

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a group of young people in one of our Sheffield Primary Schools within a classroom setting on a part time basis. There is also a high element of supporting children who do display highly challenging behaviours and have challenging backgrounds, therefore your role will also involve deescalating and managing difficult behavioural situations and be resilient towards this.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience

  • Previous or transferable experience with young people
  • Calm and approachable manor
  • Able to deescalate and defuse high tension situations
  • Team Teach Trained (we are able to provide this to those without)
