I am currently working closely with two schools in the Ashford location that are looking for Teaching Assistants for both long-term positions and short-term supply.

Client 1 is a large EBD school looking for behavioural support specialists for long-term contracts and permanent positions. You will be working in small classes of approximately 5 to 7 pupils in key stages 2 & 3. In addition to group work you will also be required to provide support on an individual 1:1 basis. Due to the nature of the school lots of the students are from a care background and need someone who is going to show a lot of enthusiasm and are willing to get involved as part of a team.


Client 2 is a special non-maintained school catering for young people with social, emotional and behavioural problems between the ages of 7 and 18.


Every one of the students is treated as an individual and has the support of a highly qualified and experienced staff team including teachers, teaching assistants, care workers, social workers and therapist. The school have invested heavily in modern, well equipped classrooms and work areas to provide our pupils with an environment in which to grow and learn

*Ex-forces, Military/Police
*Criminology, Psychology, Music Degree
*Sports coaching qualification or background
*Team Teach/SKIP, CPI, MAPA Physical Intervention Training
*Supporting NEET
*Experience supporting challenging behaviour within an out of school setting
*Emotionally Robust


Relevant qualifications and experience will be highly beneficial, yet it will be your ability to build relationships and increase pupils attainment and sense of worth that will make you a success. Due to the rural location of both schools your own transport is essential.

This DBS must be a child workforce DBS registered onto the update service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
