Job description

Do you have experience working with Challenging Behaviour and are looking for full time employment? My client in Lincoln are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who have been excluded from mainstream school.

The role we are currently looking to recruit for, requires the successful Teaching Assistant to:

  • Support pupils in crisis through de-escalation techniques and strategies, preparing and supporting them to return to learning
  • Support staff and use initiative to help when needed
  • Deliver small group or one-to-one intervention
  • Support identified pupils who require additional support in class
  • Keep accurate records of intervention on pupil intervention logs
  • Keep Personal Handling Plans (PHPs) up to date
  • Keep accurate records of Restrictive Positive Intervention logs and ensuring appropriate follow-up has taken place, including parent/carer contact and restorative practice

To be considered for the above, you must have the experience of working in a similar setting. If you don't have this type of experience, we tend to find that the following do work well in these particular schools:

  • Ex military
  • Prison Officers
  • Sports coaches
  • Police officers

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
