Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work at a brand new school, opening in September 2018.

This organisation cater for for pupils who are awaiting a school place having moved into the city, waiting for a specialist placement, in need of additional bespoke provision for medical or social emotional reasons, respite from mainstream school for a short period or perhaps have been excluded from mainstream school.

To be considered for this role, it is essential you have the following:

  • Experience of supporting young people with behavioural & learning difficulties
  • Experience of supporting with the supervision of young people during off-site activities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain good discipline and challenge negative behaviour

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
