We are currently working alongside large Primary Schools in Cardiff which have units attached which caters for pupils with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties with immediate work opportunities for teaching assistants in Cardiff & the Vale of Glamorgan. I am looking for an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in supporting young learners in class.

You will be responsible for assisting the class teacher and providing one-to-one / group support to students of primary level (dependent on experience and age group preference).

The ideal applicant will have prior experience working in the classroom and have the ability to support children and teenagers with SEN; in particular those with Autism, Asperger’s, Social Emotional & Mental Health or behavioural issues. A valid qualification in ‘Team Teach’ or other similar ‘positive handling’ training would be beneficial but not essential.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
