A full time Teaching Assistant opportunity has become available in a two form entry primary school in Havering. The school are looking to recruit an enthusiastic teaching assistant with experience supporting pupils with barriers to learning and who display challenging behaviour. The suitable candidate will be supporting a small group of year 6 children who show challenging behaviour.

The Role;

The school are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a group of Year 6 children who struggles with staying engaged in a classroom setting and spend time in an isolated area. The ideal candidate will be able to set clear boundaries and reward the children for their good behaviour. Due to an increased time out of the classroom the Head teacher is looking to appoint a behaviour support teaching assistant to help the children stay in the classroom and support their academic studies. With the SATs approaching the school need a strong Teaching Assistant to help keep the children in the classroom to access the curriculum then assist them in winding down and preparing for high school.

This school this school is located in Havering and has over 250 pupils on roll. To be considered for this learning support teaching assistant role, you will need to have a teaching assistant qualification/degree and significant experience working with children who display challenging behaviours.
