Behaviour Support- Teaching Assistant- Rochdale – Team Teach

Full time, temporary position commencing in September 2017, as a Behaviour Support Assistant within a secondary special school located in Rochdale. The school caters for pupils 11-19 who have MLD, PMLD or severe learning difficulties. If you are an experienced Teaching Assistant with extensive experience working with pupils who show signs of challenging behaviour this position could be ideal for you.

The position will initially be temporary for the first school term September- October 2017, with the possibility for permanent for the right candidate. As a Behaviour Support Assistant your roles will include: supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs and implementing interventions to improve the behaviour of pupils who show signs of challenging behaviour.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

- A Teaching Assistant qualification Level 2 (Level 3 desirable)

- Extensive experience working within special school

- Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour and preferably experienced delivering targeted interventions

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
