We will have the perfect opportunity for you…
We are currently looking to for Teaching Assistants with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism (ASC) to work within an Ofsted graded “good” SEN setting in the S66 area of Rotherham (Thurcroft). The school supports pupils with a range of learning difficulties, including speech and language difficulties, ASD and some emotional and behavioural difficulties, from the age of seven up to sixteen years old. The school aims to provide education that works toward the mainstream national curriculum. Ideally you will have a flexible nature and be prepared to cover across both upper and lower school where needed. The school also networks with other SEN schools in the area providing access to their vocational centre which has equipment for joinery sessions – it even has an onsite fully functioning house to teach and develop the pupil’s important life skills. The school is easily accessible to and from the M1 motorway and has frequent inner city transport links close to the school.
As the ideal candidate you will have the desired skills listed below:
• Previous experience of working with autism.
• Resilient and proactive nature – willing to over come challenges that will occur daily when delving with children with behavioural difficulties
