Are you an experienced teaching assistant or ambitious graduate with experience working with disengaged young people aged 11-16? Do you have a clear knowledge and understanding of the needs of students with SEMH?

  • Full time SEMH Teaching Assistant position
  • Supporting identified pupils within the Learning Resource Centre on a 1:1 basis
  • Promoting positive behaviour management strategies and recording behaviour
  • Working alongside the SENCO to support the learning of identified pupils
  • In class support
  • Monday to Friday 8:30 - 16:15

This position is perfect for a graduate, teaching assistant or aspiring teacher to gain invaluable experience prior to progressing onto a PGCE. The successful SEMH teaching assistant will be based within the Learning Resource Centre and work with identified pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
