Behaviour Teacher Required for Septemeber

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a fully qualified teacher with strong behaviour management skills to work with a client pupil referral unit based in Newport.

The class that you will be teaching will have specialist support staff mainly working with a one to one. Experience of teaching within an SEN environment is advantageous for the role. The pupils that attend the client school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. Candidates will be asked to work between regular school hours of 8:30-3:30, planning and light marking will be included. Manual Handling trained is advantageous for the role, however training can be provided. We offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £85.00-£100.00 a day based on experience.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have gained qualified teaching status
  • Have experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Manual Handling (desired)
  • Are registered with the education workforce council
  • Can confidently plan a daily routine for support staff within the classroom
  • Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) or experienced classroom practitioners
  • Team teach trained (desirable)
